I don't understand why SI examples in SM DO NOT have NUMBERS. It is out of order and SOMETIMEs when assigned, not all instruments can perform see pic:
A more specific question may be:
Once you have assigned an exercise to a specific instrument (let's say Flutes), if you use the "Assign to all" option, will the flute exercise go to your trumpet players as "Flute" OR will this new SmartMusic know the trumpets would get the same exercise but for trumpet...OR can student use a drop down list to choose their instrument?
I am also a Choral director who has used the classic version for many years. With that music (whether from SmartMusic's library or files I created and uploaded, students used the drop down list to choose their specific voice part. I would hope that it is the same with Band method books, but this new platform is so messed up that I just don't know yet. It's very affordable, so I can actually have an account for all my elementary Band students and plan to start assigning from the method book. I guess I will have to just try the Assign to all function and see what they get. Has anyone else done this?
