When setting a loop that starts anywhere after the first measure of a title, there is a known issue where the countoff may be followed by a prolonged pause before playback proceeds. This same pause will happen on each repeat of the loop. This happens when the playback cursor is set in a measure prior to the starting point of the loop.

As a workaround, the user must ensure that the cursor is positioned in the starting measure of the loop by clicking that measure prior to selecting the Play button.
