For classes that your teacher or organization leader has setup as Student-Funded, you as the student or organization member will need to purchase a student subscription to participate in the class.
Please note that there are two types of MakeMusic Cloud subscriptions available for students to purchase at a discounted rate, a Student subscription and a Sight Reading Studio subscription. Your teacher will choose which option they require for your class, and there is no action needed on your part to select a subscription type.

To get started, click on a heading below that matches your situation to expand that section, and follow the steps to purchase your student subscription.
If you already have a MakeMusic Cloud account, you can join a Student-Funded class from your homepage using the steps below:
Step 1: Join the Student-Funded Class
- Log in to your MakeMusic Cloud account, move your cursor to the left side of the screen to open the navigation menu and choose the Join class option.
- Type in the Class Code provided by your teacher or organization leader. Select Find your Class.
- The Class Name, MakeMusic Cloud Platform associated with that Class Code, and an alert reading "You may be prompted to purchase a subscription to join this class" appears. Click Join this Class. The Order Details page appears.

- To join a class from the Login Page, go to https://home.makemusic.com.
- Skip over the Username and Password fields and select Join a class.

Enter your email and class code and select Find your Class.

Class name and teacher name appear. If this information is correct, select Join this Class.
- The Class Name, MakeMusic Cloud Platform associated with that Class Code, and an alert reading "You may be prompted to purchase a subscription to join this class" appears. Click Join this Class. The Order Details page appears.
Step 2: Purchase a Student Subscription

Order Details are listed for the subscription. Enter your billing information and select Continue.
- Enter your payment information and select Complete Purchase.
- Once the transaction is processed, the order confirmation page appears and a confirmation email is sent to you. When you are ready, select Start Exploring MakeMusic Cloud.
The MakeMusic Cloud Home Page appears. You now have access to the MakeMusic Cloud Catalog and your new class is now listed under Active classes.
Step 1: Join Your Class.
- Navigate to home.makemusic.com and select Join a class.

Enter your email and class code and select Find your Class.

Class name and teacher name appear. If this information is correct, select Join this Class.
Step 2: Create Your Account
Use the steps in the link below to create your account:
Step 3: Purchase your student subscription.
After you have created your account, you will be prompted to purchase your Student subscription.

Order Details are listed for the subscription. Enter your billing information and select Continue.
- Enter your payment information and select Complete Purchase.

The MakeMusic Cloud Home Page appears. You now have access to the MakeMusic Cloud Catalog and your new class is now listed under Active classes.
